2. Site Survey
We will conduct a preliminary site survey online to determine if our service can reach you. This may be followed by an on-site visit if necessary.
Based on your requirements and the size of your home, if we feel you would benefit from a more advanced router than the entry-level model we provide, we’ll recommend a suitable WiFi router or mesh system along with information on where it can be purchased.
If we do recommend a more advanced system, we’ll be happy to install and configure it for you during the setup of your service.
During any on-site visit or installation, we kindly ask that if you have pets, you please have them safely restrained. While we do enjoy animals, not all pets are comfortable with unfamiliar people in their home and may become protective or anxious.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
3. Installation
We will install a small antenna in a suitable location outside your home with a clear line of sight to our service. An Ethernet cable will run from the antenna into your home and connect to the antenna’s power supply (24V PoE).
We’ll configure either our basic router (if suitable for your home) or whichever router or mesh system we’ve recommended for purchase to get you online. Finally, we’ll help connect your devices and ensure you are completely satisfied with your new service before we leave.
A typical installation takes approximately 2 hours to complete and costs $125.

“I am so glad we switched to Red Sands Internet. For years we have been dogged with extremely slow uploads and downloads, buffering movies on Netflix and inability to have more than 1 device on the net functioning effectively at one time. Since we switched to Red Sands internet a week ago, we have had no problems with our wifi devices and can watch Netflix movies undisturbed by sputtering and buffering. We can easily have 2 computers , a cell phone and 2 Netflix movies running at the same time without any problems. In the past when I uploaded photos to the internet to make a photo book, it would take a minimum of 30-40 minutes. A few nights ago I uploaded photos to the same photo book company and they loaded in less than 3 minutes! That’s the way our internet should work! We spoke to Bell many times in the past about our issue and they refused to do anything about it. Chris hooked us up very quickly with minimal structural change in our house. There is one tiny hole where the cord enters through the wall in the house and a small antenna tucked away under an eave outside. We are grateful that we finally have a much higher caliber alternative for internet in our area with Red Sands Internet! I am so glad we switched!”
